Badlands [South Dakota Sioux Reservation Misery]

Down to the Badlands I'm going to see my tribe
Sherrif tells me "You can't flag no ride'
Puts a gun to my head says "Boy, I'd see you dead"
South Dakota white man pride

Burning heat above, heavy pack on my back
Reservation's forty miles away
Feel I' gonna die
Vulture's got me in it's eye
Am I going to see another day?

OH GREAT SPIRIT
WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO THIS PLACE?

HOLY MOTHER
PROTECT US FROM BLIND PREDJUDICE

Mortal thirst in the sun
Won't you help me anyone?
Orange camper pulls up to my side
He says "Man you need some help"
I say "Please let me in or else I die

He's touring to the places
Where dwell the elder races
Alchohol and trouble running free
What I saw hurt my eyes
Hurt my brain and soul besides
South Dakota Sioux Reservation Misery

OH GREAT SPIRIT....
